Interview with Christophe Breuillet, Director of Vitagora Can you give us a short description of Vitagora? Vitagora is a French agri-food innovation cluster, active throughout the value chain from farm to plate. Created in 2005, it now involves more than 340 actors. Due to common values around food, Vitagora has developed well in Asia, especially in Japan, where food values are based on the triptych of taste, preservation of the environment and of good health. How did you establish your contacts? By the end of 2007, we initiated partnership missions to identify our Japanese counterparts. In 2008, three years after the birth of the innovation clusters in France, none of us had the resources to go abroad alone. So I proposed that we join forces to reach a critical size and we created “F2C innovation”, with Valorial, Agri-Sud-Ouest Innovation and Aquimer. In 2010, partnership agreements were signed with the Hokkaido Biocluster and the Kyushu Biocluster. What do these partners bring you?
