A life sciences hub in the heart of Tokyo

In March 2016, Mitsui Fudosan launched LINK-J, a life science innovation platform, to capitalize on the historic concentration of pharmaceutical companies in Nihonbashi’s neighborhood. The Nihonbashi district, around Nihonbashi and Tokyo Railway Station, is home to the headquarters of the largest pharmaceutical and financial companies in Japan. It is also the home ground of Mitsui Fudosan. For this Japanese real estate company of international caliber, a synergy was to be invented, to “make Nihonbashi the Mecca of innovation in the field of life sciences in Japan“. This is how the Nihonbashi Life Science Innovation Promotion Project was born. Mitsui Fudosan has provided conference rooms, shared office space, individual offices and communication lounges. Life Science Innovation Network Japan, a not-for-profit organization, uses the space to promote the industrialization of life science innovation.
